We started out not having a lot of knowledge between blogs, or what exactly the outline should look like, but with a lot of critique from other book bloggers, we learned a lot about what it takes to have a decent blog layout.
As we've written in the past, our blog site name, page design and review policy were due for a change.
With that being said, a few of our initial concepts of this blog were merely works in progress. When we created our blog, it was with this intention. To fight to bring multiculturalism in books and make people not only aware of the need for it.
Multiculturalism has become more important to us now more than ever, but we struggled with how to put our personality into the blog, as much as our views on multiculturalism. Being twins, it's always been something we identified with. Hate it or not, it's as much a part of us as being women, or being a person of color. And seeing how we've always had a mutual interest in East Asian martial arts, we've decided to capitalize on our twin-ness XD as well as our love for martial arts.
Then came "Twinja Book Reviews:Fighting to bring multiculturalism to YA, fantasy and science fiction novels. With the help of a social media page designer named Jeanette :) We were able to capture our vision of this blog while reflecting our interests and personalities.
With this we also debut a new rating system. Our system is matter of opinion, so please, anyone whom is looking for a review, please take a look at the policy and decide whether a review from us is what you actually want. You can visit our new review policy and rating system here
We hope that we can entertain the gracious audience we've managed to get as well as bring in new and inventive traits to our blog. We're looking into giveaways, contests, author interviews and more so I hope that you can embark on this journey with us.
