This week's question submitted by Elizabeth
How do you turn down a review request?
2. Enter the link to your post in the linky list below (enter your Blog Name and the direct link to your post answering this week’s question. Failure to do so will result in removal of your link).
3. Visit other blogs in the list and comment on their posts. Try to spend some time on the blogs reading other posts and possible become a new follower. The purpose of the hop is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

Well typically if the Author hasn't read the review policy or completely ignored the books or genres we prefer, I won't respond. But for the most part I've tried to give most books I've been offered as long as the grammar was decent. If it's Indie and it looks like a first draft, I'll let the author know I may not give it the best review so maybe I'm not the perfect blogger to review it. I had to give a bad review a while ago and it has stayed with me, so I prefer to review books I can share my love for them!
Linky List
URL: Link to your blog hop post
Name: Title of your blog(genre you review)
RULES
1. (Required) Follow the Follow My Book Blog Friday Hosts {Parajunkee&AllisonCanRead} (Required) Follow our Featured Bloggers
2. Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing. You can also grab the code if you would like to insert it into your posts.
3. Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say "hi" in your comments and that they are now following you. If you are using WordPress or another CMS that doesn't have GFC (Google Friends Connect) state in your posts how you would like to be followed
4. Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don't just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don't say "HI" If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love...and the followers.
This weeks wonderful question:
How do you handle a book you don't like? Do you DNF or do you power through?
Guinevere's Answer:
Libertad's Answer:
I've only put a book down once so far where I don't plan on picking it up.I marked it DNF but usually I'll try to finish reading it. The reason I put down the last book because it was so poorly written and I just couldn't take it anymore.
Any follows through GFC, Bloglovin, NetworkedBlogs, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest will be rewarded with follow backs for sure!!!

I have quite a few responses, but my main reason is I am too filled with requests or the genre isn't correct for me.
ReplyDeleteI have said I wouldn't be the best blogger to review your book. :)
Declining is tricky, but it can be done graciously as I have seen from many answers today including mine. :)
Stop by for my full answer if you like.
Happy Hopping!!
