Not to get sidetracked, but come on, it's Nnedi Okorafor!

Those of us at Twinja Book Reviews(which is a hefty group of two ;p)had the opportunity to meet the author of "Who Fears Death", "Zahrah The Windseeker" and "Akata Witch" as well as many other great short stories!

The event just happened to be in our neck of the woods. At The African American Cultural Center at Yale University, she was a guest speaker for the "Nigerian Independence Day" Gala, and we had the opportunity to meet her. Let us say, she was much taller in person! Maybe because I've never seen her stand next to anyone, as most of what we've seen of her have been face shots, but she's gotta be 5'10" or taller! She joked about being part giant, and in her universe she probably is!

We had a great time, and she said she would be interested in having us interview her in the future! We were so excited, and she was so nice! I really do hope every author we have the opportunity to meet is as nice as Nnedi!

Her dreadlocks were just as amazing as her! Nnedi Okorafor with Libertad and Guinevere
