Week Four of OUR Favorites, Day Two :Favorite Authors- Barry Lyga + Ellen Oh's Prophecy/Warrior & Sarwat Chadda's The Savage Fortress/The City of Death giveaway!

Has anyone had one of those series that resonated with you SO much that all you could do was punish yourself by reading more, even though you were , like, deadly afraid to finish???

That was totally the case with today's FAVORITE:

 Barry Lyga and his Jasper Dent Series.

I think parts of the reasons Barry Lyga's work spoke high volumes to me because he managed to make me a fan of his writing despite the fact that I'm not particularly drawn to the genre his Jasper Dent Series falls under. I mean a teenager that has not so random thoughts of killing women??? I'm pretty sure that theme doesn't appear on many female #TBR lists...Or does it???

Personally the smoking gun in this series is how he incorporates Jasper Dent's African American girlfriend and Disabled best friend without making it  a major plot line. See people it can be done without the world entering a WW3. Diversity in books is needed, guys!And This author here is doing it, folks!

Never heard of it?Do yourself a favor! Get caught up on the series now before the third and FINAL(Boohoo)book comes out this September.
