So were half way through the week, and only have three blogs left XD Blast the weeks for being so short! This next Book Blogger we chose for her honest reviews, and pretty blog layout. We've been an avid follower for some time, and it'd be awesome to highlight why we chose her.
So the third favorite Book Blogger goes to...
Elfswood: Dream.Escape.Read
One of the things we've enjoyed about elfswood's blog is her no nonsense approach to book reviewing. Many book blogs will only rate and review books that they love or wouldn't give more than 4 stars to.
That's great and all, no one wants to be a bad guy when they dont like a book, but then again, how is that constructive to the person reading the review, who is on the fence about purchasing a book.
If you're like us, 3 or less stars don't turn you off of a book. For the most part, 3 stars or less tend to be more critical, or even emotional, on why a reader may not have connected with the book(except for the occasional troll, not insinuating all 1-2-3 star reviews are fair).
If people only rated the books they liked, there'd be nothing but 4 and 5 star reviews, and that seems to defeat the purpose of a book review.
Please come pick up a Very Inspired Award for you. It is on my blot.

Aww shucks, it means a lot to be mentioned by your blog! I think you do a great and important job highlighting diversity issues. So thanks for the mention ;)
ReplyDelete@manda, well were avid followers XD Keep doing what you're doing and we'll keep reading!
ReplyDelete3 stars definitely doesn't turn me off a book, in fact most books I rate are 3 stars too. Love the sound of this blog and glad to see that the blogger tackles issues that not usually written about. Love the blog header!! Following her via Bloglovin now. :)
ReplyDelete@Ashfa Awesome! She's super awesome.
